Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and started my career working in a local Labor & Delivery Unit. I then married a Yankee (don’t hold it against me), and he moved me to Detroit, Michigan, then to Miami, Florida, and finally to Chicago, Illinois—all for his exciting career.
It was at the University of Illinois at Chicago that I received my Master’s in Nursing with a Midwifery designation and developed a deep desire to move back to the Lone Star State. I was tired of being cold! During that time away, I had two children (who have my heart completely), worked in some incredible hospitals as a Labor Nurse, and really developed a desire to serve women.
Birth has always been my passion. I love every part of it! From the first positive pregnancy test, to watching a mother hear her baby’s heartbeat for the first time, to hearing that same baby cry at birth—I find all of it exciting and am in constant awe of how perfectly we are made to carry and birth a baby.
I am a complete geek when it comes to the physiology of human development and can’t help but talk about developmental milestones because they are fascinating. Why wouldn’t you want to know everything about your baby?! I never tire of it. And I never tire of a woman’s need to feel validated, heard, and respected.
You deserve that—you are a woman, for goodness’ sake! It is my great pleasure to serve women such as yourself at this time in your life. I want to give you the very best care I can provide, and I would be honored for the opportunity.

Theresa grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved to Texas to pursue her Biology degree at the University of Dallas, where she also played volleyball. She received her BSN from Texas Woman’s University and worked in Labor & Delivery at Parkland before getting her Master’s in Nursing from Texas Tech University and becoming a CNM.
She is married to her wonderful husband, Logan, and they have two daughters, Julie and Helen.
Theresa is currently pursuing her certification as a Fertility Care Practitioner and Fertility Care Certified Nurse Midwife to teach the Creighton Model System (CrMS) and provide NaProTechnology to her clients. She has had the privilege of previously working in a NaPro office, witnessing the benefits of the CrMS for so many women, and hopes to continue spreading the word about Fertility Awareness-Based Methods at BirthPointe.
“My favorite part about being a midwife is getting the opportunity to educate women and help them make informed choices.”

Hi my name is Raeley Hackett. I am currently finishing up my primary births to become a certified professional midwife (CPM). My goal is to be certified by January 2025.
I married my high school sweetheart in March 2024 and we have a silver lab named Skye. We love to go on long walks and go on coffee dates trying new coffee shops as often as we can.
I love working at BirthPointe because our clients always feel like family. I love getting to know the whole family and watching them grow baby by baby. I hope to continue to grow in my midwifery skills alongside the BirthPointe team.
I left my career as a behavior analyst in 2018 to become a certified doula and childbirth educator, and had the privilege of supporting over 200 families in their very special birth and postpartum seasons. After my own experience with out-of-hospital birth in 2023, I was thrilled to add Birth Assistant to my repertoire. I love that every birth story is unique, and working alongside the BirthPointe team feels like an extension of my own family.
When I’m not geeking out over all things pregnancy/birth/postpartum, or embracing the chaos of large family life, I love drinking hot coffee (God bless the inventor of the Ember mug) in cold weather (Canadian roots) while reading books of all varieties (especially mysteries).
My name is Janessa Statland. I am the team coordinator who will welcome you with a friendly smile, and ensure your experience is seamless and stress-free. I manage scheduling, payment collections, client communication, and lab orders with precision and care. I joined the BirthPointe team in January 2024.
I made a leap of faith and changed my career path after being a restaurant manager for over 11 years. Seeing how much BirthPointe midwives impact families and help women, ensures me that I have made the right decision coming to BirthPointe.
My passion has always been helping people. What better way to help families grow at BirthPointe? I have two amazing dogs, Hagrid & Lily, and I am married to my favorite person in the world, Sean. We love to travel and see the world.
I am a big movie buff, a little nerdy when it comes to Lego and I love nature. I would love it if you stopped by to say hi!
Hello! My name is June, and I am the Coordinator for the Team Legacy.
My love for babies and families started at a young age, probably due to being from a big family! That love led me to study Human Development and Family Science at UNT. I worked in a Montessori school, an educational preschool, and as a nanny. Watching little ones grow was such a joy!
I transitioned to working with adults with Autism for a few years. This was a stretch for me but ultimately still within my passion for supporting families. The joys and challenges from that experience have shaped me in many ways.
When my family and friends began having babies, I saw the gap in the care that they were receiving. This led me to become certified as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I have loved supporting them and hope to support others in my community as well.
I am thrilled to continue my love for working with families here at BirthPointe!
When I’m not working, you will find me dabbling in crafts, reading, and being outside. I loved volunteering in my church’s nursery and helping my husband in the youth ministry. My favorite time is spent with my husband, a good book and lots of sweet tea.
